School GCSE Project

I used some photos I took on holiday in 2021 to practise my editing skills. I learnt a lot about editing, but it’s fair to say there’s a lot more to learn. I particularly enjoyed editing the photos from Fountains Abbey (the two photos of arches), as well as the bird feeding and waterfall at Rutter Falls. In terms of framing and style, I tried to mix landscape with wildlife, as well as a couple of slightly different shots – the one with a wooden bar at the bottom is taken on a boat on Lake Windermere and I tried to capture part of the rail on the starboard side; the other slightly unusual one is a night time shot of the alley at the back of the holiday cottage, showing some of the artwork displayed on the walls.
